Tim
Runion
aka: ftcaddis - Broadway, Virginia
I was introduced to
fly fishing in 1974 by my father-in-law. On our first of many fishing
trips he let me cast his 9' fiberglass Browning fly rod and I was instantly
addicted. I bought my own fly rod the following Monday.
I didn't start fishing for trout until the mid 1990's when one of my brothers talked me into a trip to the Shenandoah National Park for brookies.
Living in the central Shenandoah Valley, I'm blessed with an abundance of fishing close by. Chasing brook trout in the mountain streams of the Shenandoah National Park and the George Washington National Forest is my favorite, followed closely by floating the Shenandoah looking for smallmouth.
I started tying flies not long after I started fly fishing, but didn't really get serious about tying trout flies until the last couple years.
Pictured at right is me with my best catch.
